Wolfgang Glück was an Austrian film director, also an opera and theatre director, born on September 29, 1929 in Vienna, where he died on December 13, 2023. Wolfgang graduated and continued his studies in literature and theater in Zurich and Vienna. From 1948 to 1953, he studied at the Burgtheater in Vienna under Berthold Viertel. There, he met actor Curd Jürgens and director Walter Felsenstein. He also studied with Fritz Kortner in Munich. He successfully completed his acting studies and was then able to turn his attention to directing, with his first work: "Arsenal und alte Spitzen" in 1953 at the Kellertheater in Vienna. He died in Vienna on December 13, 2023, at the age of 94.
